We can arrange for transportation of trucks, construction equipment as well as rigging and hauling for plant equipment such as printing presses, restaurant equipment and business inventories when deemed as necessary.

Estate Sales

When we entered the auction business almost 25 years ago, there were two methods used to liquidate household effects – Auction Houses and Estate Sales. Well, there are no more auction Houses to speak of and I was never a big fan of the traditional “Estate Sale”. Most Estate Sales were glorified yard sales where the “host” priced out and tagged the entire contents of a home and advertised the sale – usually on a Saturday.

At dawn, there was a long line that snaked up to the home and around 8:00 the home was opened up to a bull rush as live bidders ran from room to room trying to pick up the best pieces available. Around Noon, the host would discount the remaining items 10-20% and several more price reductions followed into the afternoon. At the end of the event, there were usually items which remained unsold and the owner usually had to donate them to charity.

We have chosen to take a different approach where we prepare an online catalog of digital pictures, host them on a platform for 7-10 days or longer where competitive bidding can occur. We still have a traditional preview and a predetermined pick up and removal date. Our system results in a lot less wear and tear on the property as we are only dealing with serious prospects at the preview and the winning bidders at pickup and the items are placed in a competitive bidding arena.
